As a young child I was always enthralled with gold jewelry and gemstones. I grew up with a great appreciation for design and how jewelry is used in family traditions. Jewelry has always been able to conjure a feeling of joy, excitement and sentimentality in me. As I design my own pieces I strive to create a similar affecting experience for the wearer as well. The use of nature in the form of plants, mushrooms, moons, and more is what helps provide a sense of a psychedelic escape through my work.
My practice is a blend of traditional jewelry techniques such as stone setting and lost wax casting and emerging technologies like computer-aided design and 3D printing. I enjoy the traditional aspects of handmade jewelry and work to constantly improve and perfect my craftsmanship. Upon receiving a BFA degree I plan to further pursue gemology and custom jewelry design.
